This is just a "random thought" post, but as a newbie, I am pretty proud of myself so I thought I'd share. I think after weeks of killing a couple fish and wondering what I am doing wrong...I think my tank is FINALLY fully cycled. I do 25% water changes about every 3 days, I feed a little bit of flakes in the morning, a pea or two at night and some blood worms here and there...my 2 goldie babies seem SO happy. They are super active, much more so than before and the bigger of my 2 fish has grown significantly even in the last few weeks. I can really see his wen coming in. Every morning I get up and check if my smaller fish's wen has started growing yet, it hasnt...but she too has gotten bigger in the belly. I am going to go buy the hikari lionhead food (or hikari oranda) for them this weekend in hopes that this will help them grow even more. Someone mentioned fry food for live bearers...does anyone have suggestions on a good brand and, does Petsmart or one of the bigger chains carry this type of food? I looked on the website but couldnt find it.
Sorry for the pointless post I'm just so proud of myself that I am finally seeing progress with my tank. I still only have the 10 gallons for them but will definitely upgrade, for now though they are so small that it doesnt seem to be too much of an issue. Hopefully I'll find a nice used 29 galloner soon
