Thanks Hanna, that made me feel better, although I did cry while reading what you wrote.  I'm in the midst of a dilemma right now. As she sits in the freezer, I'm trying to decide if I want to bury her in the back yard or return her and get my money back since the store will refund my money if the fish dies within 2 weeks. When I brought my neons back, they just tossed the back with their little bodies in the trash can, and I don't want that to happen to my Roxy. Maybe I can bring her back for a refund and then take her home for a proper burial. I'm so glad my other babies are doing well and flourishing.

This hobby is wonderful and exciting and it is also frustrating and sad at times.
You must take this sad experience in losing your little friend and turn it somehow into a learning experience.
I know it is hard right now but you will be better prepared to know what to do next time.
Sometimes, no matter what we do, some fish do not respond to our administrations.

RIP Noisy Miner Sad

My mum and I found him in a bucket yesterday, took him to the vet and they said he was fine and the best thing was for him to put back from where we found him (my backyard). First off we tried to keep you warm in a blanket and box in my room, 10 minutes later you were dead Sad I hope you just died of old age. It made me really sad, I wanted him to get better.

Yeah, we have lots of them hanging around always eating the nectar from the flowers that is why it makes me so sad because it was probably one I knew Sad

He could have been old, you know bettas don't live for much longer than 2 years Smiley And you can never be sure how old he was when you bought him either...

I'd like to make a small memorial section for the tank full of baby fantails and moors that died from fin rot in the pet shop lately Sad
They were basically missing their tails first time I saw them, the next time about a week later the water was green from the medication and most of them were floating around on the surface, struggling to breathe while the rest of them were scattered around motionless in the middle water level. They were so very small, and so beautiful. R.I.P. babies, I hope you died already and got away from the misery Sad

Needless to say, I'M NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN.

I have sad news Sad my mom bought for me a baby black moor no bigger than about 5 mm. We were at the store together and I remarked how cute he was. So she bought him for me a week later in secret along with a small fantail and gave them to me. I was overjoyed! The fantail kept chewing on the little mite as I drove home and I kept trying to deter the fantail's attack. But before I had even taken them out of the bag the baby black moor had DIED. I noticed he had on eye clouded over, several spots of ich, and ragged fins. My mom doesn't know too much about fish, but she said at the store he was swimming around with alot of energy. I think the stress of being in a bag with a pecking fish just pushed him over the edge.

I never even got to name him   Cry

R.I.P. little baby fish I loved.
