well... maybe... but it'll be better somewhere inside the room against a wall with no direct sunlight.

But if it is near the window, no sunlight and not in front of the window it should be all right

i do not have the tank yet i am think to see if the spot is ok
now same scenario say the air vent is directly above the couch and the tank next to the couch is that ok or will it cause a temp. problem for fish I do not know the size of tank thinking of big one on a stand all i know is that it was used for salt water fish i think my uncle has it in storage (thanks)

we have ours not directly under the aircon but not far from it. it is ok.
also we have a proper cover for the tank
