I dont have a hose for cleaning and a water test kit. I know I need them and I will get them. I just cant do it right away

A plastic hose can be bought real cheap anywhere! A normal garden hose would work just fine Smiley And it doesn't need to be particularly long either, so there's no need to go into a despair Wink

I will get a cheap hose soon right now i'm dealing with health concerns and rehoming and water changes. One step at a time lol.


I have decided until years from now when i can get my own house NO MORE GOLDFISH. I love them but bettas work better for me for now less maintenance less needs less space ... you get it. I love my goldies which is why I have to rehome them

I'd say that the minimum size of a nice tank should be around 20-30 gallons for any fish, that'll keep the water parameters and temp stable easier and for longer, so no matter the fish, you should absolutely (if you want to keep them at all) get them a proper tank from the start! Otherwise, you'll end up having problems with the water quality, sick fish and most likely overcrowding. You should also learn about the different water quality requirements of different fish if you want a community tank.

Fish are just like any pets, they need some planning too before you get any.

thats why the next thing I am getting is a heater and a betta ... I already did all there research and they're so pretty Smiley Plus they produce little waste and with two ADF's the tank is perfectly stocked. Plus no waste problems and since the tank will be cycled no ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate problems.
