I would like a cute little ranchu with chubby cheeks. They don't sell them in my area and I really do not want to pay $30+ in shipping for a fish. I can't see paying a total of $60-$100 for a fish.

Ranchuandorandalover I had same dream  and i just got my first adorable crown pearlie for Xmas. She's on my   (Link is not visible to guests. Please register to view.) thread if you want to see her. I hope you get your dream fish soon. Ken on goldfishconnection auction always gets ones with nice big bubbly crowns or if you go to (Link is not visible to guests. Please register to view.) steve Has some cute ones his crowns are more compact wens kindof like Orandas, Really cute, I want the last one on page lol. His prices are fair too those crowns run $30-$50 and $30 s+h or $60 for several or a very big one. Says next to price exactally what s+h is gif the fish and he has a great reputation also, raises all his own fish to sell.

Teetsy I used to feel same way wouldn't pay over $25 lol but now addicted to fish I get. Wish I could send u one.

Aimee, I know I'm going to buckle under and purchase one, probably from the raingarden. I really like how they show you every view of the fish. The fish I posted is from that site. Maybe after I get my income tax check (I was planning on purchasing a big tank, but since I already did that, what will I do with the money???) Roll Eyes, I may purchase one and just suck up the shipping charge. I suppose I'll have to take a day off from work on the day I'm to get my fish. (Oh darn! snicker, snicker, snicker Tongue Tongue Tongue).

Thank you April, "NEW YEARS KARMA" fireing for you too on a huge rocket.
We will keep the tank lights on, and even I put our goldies on fasting, they'll get a midnight "PEA & GARLIC" mash.
Already sipped a bit of champagne and I feel tipsy as I didn't have any drop of alcohol since taking antibiotics... hickups

so glad you decided to try getting one you like online. i lke that they so much healthier then fish i ever get from chain petstores dont get me wrong some wonderful fish at those places sometimes but they take such horrible care of them you almost spend same amount or more trying to make them healthy then what you pay online with shipping lol. i have heard great thing about steves fish not heard any negative yet havent orderded from him yet because he doesnt have many side view ranchus at this time  and i am into shorter fat bodies on my orandas and he likes long bodies because they have less swimbladder isses. probably going to try to get a toskin from him when he puts them for sale and i really like some of his pearlies.  good luck with your new fishie when you get it. is the one in picture one you going to buy?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE koi!  I would like four, and I would name them Speckles, Paint, Shogun, and Magicarp. Smiley  Unfortunately, apartment complexes get a little annoyed if you dig a pond behind your apartment...

Nicole- Really? I thought the landlors wouldn't mind at all. Getting their property dug up is no biggie, really.  Wink

If you live in an apartment, the back yard of the house is usually not considered yours. You just rent the apartment, not the ground around it.
In other words, you have no right to start doing any major changes, i.e. digging a fish pond.

Another option is to have it done like an above ground pond... much like indoor ponds

In Japan, lots of people have "ponds" on their balconies, like big tubs Smiley
Usually with Ranchus and other fancies since koi need bigger ponds.

Yes there are excellent fish out there, but I still say, MY FISH  A R E  MY DREAMFISH, don't wanna trade them for anything else, I love how they are, I love how they look like, their clear vivid eyes, their mouthes, how they come to me and nibble on my fingers, sucking as if they were dummies, their sheen, I LOVE when they make their dolphin flip and shower me again, I LOVE their wiggling lined up next to each other and how they follow me from one side of the tank to the other...

Naaww Nossie, they are beauties the ones that you posted! Hanna, I just watched the clip of you feeding them and how they all line up for munchies it is incredible how all our little ones have this common bond and love they show us.  I have my tiny treasure and love her so much - she fills up my spirit with joy Grin I imagine it won't be long before she feels comfortable enough to sit in my hand in the tank.

I love my fish too Smiley Really, if someone would jump at me with a 500L tank and two oscars in exchange for my goldies... it's a no-go. EASILY. I'd never, ever give them away!! I'd just like some additional company... Wink
