Lost Tangerine
« on: June 08, 2012, 08:22:03 PM »

Hi All,
Sad day here  Sad Tangerine didn't eat yesterday and I had just changed the water a few days before, but thought it might help, so changed out some more. She perked back up but when I looked this morning had lost her. Lemonade looked lonely so I put Dreamsicle back in (after being banned for picking on Tangerine last month). Lemonade and Dreamsicle seem to be getting along well for now,  but will continue to watch Dreamsicle and hope he doesn't cause problems with Lemonade. I really don't know what happened to Tangerine, it happened very fast. I really loved her coloring and she will be missed. RIP pretty girl.

What on earth?
Why are you losing fish just like that lately? Sad I'm so sorry to hear this... Sad
Was she one of your first fish who lived in that smaller tank?
If so, I've only got two fish out of six left alive from when I had them in the 30 and 40 liter... seems that stunting really does take its toll sooner or later... Sad

Thanks all, and yes Nossie, the two fish I lost were in a smaller tank for too long. I've learned so much within the past 6 months and wish I would have done my research years ago, instead of just recently, but we live and learn. Hopefully Lemonade and Dreamsicle will continue to thrive (especially Dreamsicle since he is a baby) in their much larger home. It could have been just been Tangerines time, sometimes these things just happen, but I do feel bad knowing now that they should have been in a much larger area.
