Well, I forgot to add that I put all my fish except for the orandas out in the ponds today!  I was like a nervous mother checking them about 10 times to make sure they're alright. Wink
It's funny with the barrel ponds... 2 of the fish swam into the barrel on the left side already!  I had put them on the right side...higher barrel and they followed the down flow of the water into the lower barrel. Grin

I see you have your anacharis planted in a glass container.  It looks nice! Smiley
Is it a shot glass?  Somehow it looks bigger than a shot glass.  Maybe the camera shot just makes it look that way...?

THANK YOU MINDEMAE,

yes that glass is bigger than a shot, lol, maybe a doubble shot. I do not like it so much, I'll look for sth smaller as it takes away too much space for Hump and Hep to swim I think.
I looked at some earlier pix and the relation of their size to the diver is quite different now,  Cheesy And esecially their fins got much longer, like veil floating in the stream.

I just can imagine you looking after your babies how they are doing in their new home. I would be out there every 5 minutes too to check if all is ok. Perhaps the first nights I couldn't sleep either.
And winter time you take them back inside? BTW, how does a Goldfish Xmas look like?

Wow cool Nossie!  A Pompom!  I've never had the pleasure of seeing one in person, just pictures!

Hanna,
I take them back inside to their aquariums about end of October, beginning November here.  By then the weather turns chilly and the water temps start to drop considerably and much later would be too cold to work on the garden pond.  We put all the bog plants down in the water and cover the whole thing with a tarp.
Come spring we take all the water out, separate the plants which usually grow too big for their pots and start all over again! Smiley
Hmmm...Christmas.  Probably the same as any other day for the goldfish. Smiley
I don't even decorate that much and we don't really make a big deal out of it anyway.  It depends the last two years we had a houseful of guests that stayed for anywheres for a night or two-two weeks, to more than a month! Some stayed and brought the new year in too!  Cheesy

This setup will stay like it is unless I will need to replace the plants eventually.
So our fish can settle in their "lounge' without the "furniture " being moved arround.
Also it will give the tank the chance to settle in case it hasn't 100%, like we discussed with Mindemae.

Wanna let all of you to know: YOU ARE GREAT FISHY FRIENDS! It is always so lovely to share some time with you.
BIG THANKS  Cheesy

Mindemae: I haven't either! Cheesy And to be honest, I am not completely certain whether this fish IS a pompom, his body looks very much like one, and he's got two small "flowers" on his nose Wink They're still not that big, though, maybe they'll grow? Anyway, he's pretty big already, he's about 3.5 inch long! Cheesy And... as far as I know, his fins are the most perfect I've ever seen! Big and beautiful, with strong color all the way out in the tips (: I'll post some pictures of him as soon as he'll be a bit less shy Wink

Hanna: Wow! That's pretty cool! Cheesy I wonder if my fish would look bigger now than they did before!
I also thought "WOW, I've got Hikari staple pellets tooo!!!! And what a load of fish food for two little goldfish! o__O" and then I realized that I'm pretty much in the same situation d': But, variety is always good! Cheesy

Nossie!  Can't wait to see pictures of your new beautiful fish!

Hanna!  These new pics are stunning!  I love the set-up.  Your fish are truly lovely.

Nossie, you say Hanna has a load of food containers in the one picture!   Ha! You all see mine!
Plus I keep their frozen food in my refrigerator.  With goldfish, variety is the spice of life! Grin

Thats a lot of food hahahaha But I thing I have mre fish food flakes than I really need. I only feed my fish Omega 1 goldfish flakes, but with the purchase of two aquarium starter tanks, Ive started to stockpile Nutrafin fish food. Which stinks. I will not feed my fish something that stinks lol.

I also have floating pellets, but Sonorus doesnt like those so I might have3 to go on a food hunting trip and find another thing of Omega 1. Cheesy

I dont have the hikari staple, but I've got Hikari algae wafers!!!! and tubifex worms. I hate those things.. they're supposed to stick on the glass, but I guess I havent mastered that ability yet... Sad

Beautiful fish Hanna. I absolutely love comets, they are by far my favoritest fish in the entire world!!

Nossie: Im looking forward to pictures of your new fish! Cheesy

Kat,
I just throw in the tubifix cube and let it float and the fish eventually tear it apart.  I can't get it to stick to the glass either.  It's fun to watch them chase the cube and circle it like sharks and then tear into it like vultures! LOL  Wink

lol okay ill try that!!! It sounds like a lot of fun! I have to tear the cubes in half and xbreak the wafers in half. I dont need them to fill up before suppertime. (I use it as a treat when theyve been especially good! Smiley Love those fish to bits and pieces... )

I miss my fishies Smiley Im sitting here at school chillin before class and Im wondering how they are doing back home.. SmileySmiley

Kat: Thanks! (: When I feed tubifex to my fish, I use to break them into some smaller pieces (my fish are rather small too) and soak them in water from the tank before I feed it to them. I've got some little plastic glass for the purpose Wink
And I also have this special food that's called Hikari-Saki, for fancy goldfish. It's in a purple bag, and it smells like death, but my fish are crazy about it! It's by far their favorite food Wink And from what it says on the pack, it's containing lots of good bacteria to help digestion, among other things.

Thank you all for your lovely comments  Grin

Besides those 3 types of flakes and 2 types of granules -some do STINK to high heaven, LOL- I do have frozen BrineShrimp. They are not that crazy about BrineShrimp but they eat it. In the pet shop they said they like frozen bloodworms much better, so I will add this one to their diet too. And then of course their vegg and fruit  Grin

I just noticed how very cute Hepsiba is on the second pic! The position of her fins and all is so adorable! :'D

I've had similar dreams! About my fish having lots of babies! But then they usually grew very fast! o_O Like, during half an hour they were already 3 inches!
