Hi there, I won some great fish from Ken's auction on Goldfish Connection. They are all warming up to their new home. Gorgeous fish, all three. Their pictures surely didn't do them justice! I am so very pleased! Red/white Ryukin....I named her Mitzi Red Ryukin.....I named him Charlie Red/white egg fish.....I named him Egbert

Thank you Nossie, Aimeekat and Hanna for all your nice compliments...I adore these fish! They were packed really well and sent overnight fed ex express. They came in a double bag about 1/3 water to 2/3 pure oxygen, inside a styrofoam insulated box, that had another plastic bag filled with styrofoam peanuts placed between the bags with the fish in them, so that the bags wouldn't shift around at all. The only fish that had some adjusting to do was Charlie the red ryukin. He was a little off balance and extremely scared...he kept wanting to try and cram himself behind the driftwood every time I would go near the tank. I floated the bags in the tank water for about 20 mins. and then scooped the fish up with my hands and placed them into the tank, gently and kept the lights off. These were instructions from Ken he gave me over the phone. He said the fish would need at least 24 hrs to adjust and they would probably swim very little the first 24 hrs. I added my Kordon fish protector to my aquarium before I released the fish. I thought the vitamin B12 and slime protector it has in it might be beneficial to them. I did feed them last night a few frozen peas and orange pulp. They loved it much to my delight. This am when I woke up they were fine and greeted me at the tank ready for breakfast of frozen bloodworms. Tonight on the menu is frozen brine shrimp.

Thanx Andrea! Egbert is a jolly fellow, he reminds me of a dolphin some how. He is so active and good natured, very friendly too. He warmed up to me right away! I think the next auction I will get him a friend! Yeah, Mitzi is the queen of the tank! She is really beautiful and glides through the water as if she owns the tank! Charlie is the clown. He's very fast and skittish. I just love them all. I am going to keep Mitzi and Charlie together ina 30 gallon tank and then Egbert by himself until i get him a friend.
