Ha ha! Well, I guess it's how much or little you want to cater to your pets needs!
Our dogs are spoiled rotten!   I think they eat better than we do sometimes! LOL!
My freezer is loaded with fresh frozen food just for the fish!
Seems I can't resist going to the store without getting new treat and toys for the pets!

And they enrich our lives so much!!
What would we do without pets? (Besides take a cruise) 

I think I would have AT LEAST 600€ extra on my account xD
I just love getting new plants and foods and stuff for my babies They get so happy everytime there's something new to investigate!

I think I forgot to add that it's great having something to care for like the fish! They're also such a nice addition to a home, giving it a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere I think my babies are so much worth it!!

Imagine the money you could save if you didn't have kids  Haha.

I don't know about all of you but I think fishies are one of the best places to invest your money in! For isn't just seeing your little friends when you come home after a hard day just priceless??? Sure, we could save up for new furniture, or eat a little nicer every once and a while...but imagine life with no scaly critters to get ecstatic when you walk in the room. Imagine never getting to see them grow big and strong and get to care for something that needs love just as much as people do that makes it all worth it for me, both my time and my cash.

Ok, I will share something with you!
when I go on vacation I take a betta with me cuz I miss my fishes so much!

Well, I put the betta in a plastic container filled with water and put it in a box with newspapers stuffed around it.  Pack his food and water condtioner and bring a container of water from home.  Then when I get to where I'm going, relatives house or hotel, I unpack the betta and put him in his bowl. It's really like doing a water change...easy peasy!

Thanks Hanna!!! ! Awww that is ADORABLE Minde XD! I have a friend who does that same thing. I'm gonna start doing that with my bettas now, since hauling along all my golden-scaled family members would be rather unachievable.

I read a true story once where this lady wanted to take her betta fish on vacation on a plane, and the security guard said "No, sorry but you can't bring your fish...you will have to flush it down one of our restroom toilets." So the lady went to the restroom and was crying her eyes out preparing to kill her pet in one of the worst ways imaginable. But she decided to shove her fish's container in her backpack and take it with her anyways. Somehow the fish was never detected and she made it with her betta through the plane ride.

To think somebody could be so heartless as to want to destroy a perfectly harmless creature...I could never be a good security guard

Reading this post through again I can say: NO, we wouldn't be rich, we might have a bit more money. BUT WE ARE RICH NOW, rich in love we can share with our darling scaly friends. 

Well don't planes sorta equalise out the pressure so it doesn't affect us? I guess it does now that I think about because people have to wear those socks  I'm sure plenty of fish have flown before though. Is he too far away to drive it to you?

When you're on a plane carrying a water bottle and the pressure gets higher, you can open the water bottle and it will make a hissing sound because it's been constricted. I wonder if that happends when fish are on the airway...

Fish flown from out of country I think are pretty pricey...not only do you pay for the fish itself but probably some of the airplane fees are incorpirated,  making the fish shoot up rapidly (economically speaking). That's why most stores probably buy fish bred here locally instead of internationally, even though you can find more exotic goldies out of country. I would love to own something totally unusual like one of those "crowned" goldies; you can't really find them around here...but we can be happy with the fishies we have now, even if they are a little more common.

Well also, in some cases they actually add a mild tranquilizer to the water in the containers/bags, so the fish won't be so stressed.
They also put pure oxygen in the bags that are shipped.  Depending on the size of the fish, I guess with pure oxygen and the tranquilizer the fish can last up to 10 days!
The tranquilizer is used to reduce heart rate and breathing, reduce metabolism, so the fish can live comfortably on the oxyen in their container/bag longer.
