These are some of my recent fish-they died after a water change. Ive been keeping fish for 20 years but I guess I have a lot to learn still. The photo of 3 fish was taken around last Xmas. The big one was taken a couple of days before they croaked. I had the 2 little one 7 months and the big one a year.

I guess its really d*mb to be upset about a fish-but people dont relize how much time and effort go into to creating a living tank! Its really cool when they first recognise you, and then they greet you like little puppies every time they see you! Its like loosing a work of art you worked months on to complete, but also like loosing a good friend!
I had a beautiful calico die and I buried her under a rose bush I had planted. The nest year the most colorful pink roses proliferated-it as if her spirit bloomed out thru the roses!

How beautiful! And I don't think being upset about a fish is d*mb at all. It doesn't matter the size - your fish are still your pets and part of your life, just like a dog or cat. And it's always sad to lose a pet.
