Moving Goldfish Out of State Need Help!

I have a 1 year old Black Moore named Panch and a 1 year old Ryuken named lefty and both are in Colorado with my Parents. Lefty almost died as we moved him from our house to my Parents. I now have a 55gallon takn for them but I live in Texas. Is there any safe way to transport them 8 hours by car? We miss our babies! Cry

Fill up a five gallon toat box for the drive they'll be fine in that for 8 hours.

See I tried to move them in a cooler and the water moving around really botherd my Ryuken, can the top be sealed shut? I was told they need air pockets?

Yes they need air, which is one reason why you can't leave them in a plastic bag too long. There should also be enough water so they don't poison themselves. You should do it before the weather gets hot, too. There's a thread on here where goldfish were moved from New Zealand, maybe you can use the same method.
