No theyre mouths aren't really made for that, but I wouldn't suggest putting them with fish fry.

Plecos can sometimes be territorial and can in some cases (depending on the individual plecos personality) be aggressive to other fish. I think this is what fantailer may have been thinking of?

Usually people separate their fish fry to a tank by themselves, so they can ensure all the fry receive enough food and there won't be any risk of them accidentally getting eaten by another fish.

It all depends on the pleco and it's personality, it's size, whether its territorial or greedy (some pleco snatch food from other fish). Generally where a small fish is in a tank with a larger species, there is always a chance of it being accidentally eaten.

From what I've seen fish fry are normally separated to a tank by themselves, where you can monitor their progress and ensure they all get enough to eat. I've never had fish fry myself so I'm afraid I don't know the in's and out's, but this is what I've seen other fish keepers do
