My 150 Fancy Goldfish tank

There are about 11 assorted fancy goldfish, about a dozen platies, about a dozen danios, 3 ottos, a lot of feeder guppies, 1 dojo loach, and a ton of plants. The only filtration is a Fluval FX5. Estes' Marine Sand. 4 3' bulbs, 4 4' bulbs. 80% water changes at least once a week.

Your fish look awesome! As in, very active and very cute. I looked at your video, and I was wondering, how many gallons does your tank hold?

Oh, I just love red cap orandas! They're just so cute.
I used to have one, but unfortunately  Cry she (or he? - well, I thought my oranda was a girl) died because on that day, there was this nasty long white thing that looked like a worm that kept coming out of its wen. Even after she died, it kept coming out. The day before, I noticed that that particular spot was a very dark deep red colour.

According to this site, it might have been the Hole in the Head Disease. I thought it was some kind of parasite.

"Hole in the Head Disease

This disease often starts as small sores on the head around the eye area. These sores than later develop into       tubular eruptions that has a yellow or cream-colored mucus. One of the causes of this disease is thought to be poor water quality, so it is important to perform regular water changes."

Nice fish! and Super nice aquarium!   I always had 20 and 30 gallon sizes and am so glad I made the plunge to a bigger 55 gallon size!  Now I am even thinking of upgrading next year to maybe a 75 gallon size!  I always had in my mind that a bigger tank would be more work but just the opposite is true!

What a beautiful set up!  Kiss  I really like the third picture after the video- the bi-colored telescope eye fellow.  He has a GORGEOUS, symmetrical pattern.  *sigh*  One of these days........

I really like those "butterfly fancies" u got. Nice! How old are they now? Did u get those @ a LFS or u got them special ordered? I would like to get some.
