Pleco and newt

I was wondering if i can keep a bulldog pleco w/ my fantail goldfish and does any one know where i can get a newt. I live near St.louis (I'm actually in IL lol) Cheesy

No to the pleco really annoys me the fish stores say you can keep a pleco with a goldfish. Best buddys for goldies are goldies and maybe the odd snail.

What size tank have you got?

Pleco's can be kept with goldfish, some members here have them.
There is a risk with pleco's however that they may latch on to the goldfish if they aren't fed properly.

Usually it's recommended to have a peaceful pleco, such as a bristlenose. I'm not sure about the bulldog variety Huh

If you have the space for it, it's okay, but be prepared that it might not work out.
A pleco will grow huge, just like goldfish, and since one fantail needs 20 gallons of water, you'd need at least a 30 gallon for both a goldfish and pleco to live happily and comfortably.
