BUCKY!!!!!
« on: April 30, 2011, 06:23:23 AM »

This morning I found Bucky stuck ina plant. Shocked I got him out and he flipped around in a couple circles and swam off. Galaxy has been nipping Bucky's fins! Angry So I separeted him and Galaxy and gave Bucky some salt for his bites and peas for his swim bladder problems. Sad

Yea, separating them temporarily is good idea. Keep an eye on bucky for signs of infection on the fin area where he was bitten .  Make sure Bucky doesn't have finrot, which can be caused by bacterial infection instead of being bitten, or some other diseases. Did you recently introduce any new fish into this particular tank first without quarantining it?
I see you have some nitrite showing in your water test results. Is the nitrite at 5 or .5 ppm? For a mature tank like yours that has been established for a while, it should not be showing any nitrite at all . Do you have regular gravel (not the the glass beads or marbles)  in the tank also?

Nitrite its at 0.5. I have regular gravel. Bucky is the common and galaxy the comet also came with bucky at the same time in the quarintine. Well anyway he got stuck on the filter suction area because he couldn't swim to well and died  Cry. I buried him. Sad
