live plants?

What live plants work well with goldfish? I would assume you need a tough plant because goldfish like to nibble on them. Also, what do I need to do to keep live plants alive? Can I just put them in the tank in the pot they come in?

You can keep the plant in pot they come in, which i think is a good idea unless you have other ways to anchor the plant. Anacharis is relatively easy to grow, but goldfish love to eat them. There are some varieties of plants that taste bitter so goldfish should avoid them. Perhaps you can try Java Fern or similar plants .
