Goldfish Tricks

Hey all! I've started teaching my goldies tricks. So far I've begun teaching them to respond to a clicked light. The second after I click the light I feed the goldfish some food through this special straw I made. I'll keep you all posted on my progress!

So anyway, I've also taught my betta Athena to eat from my finger, and she is working on learning the hoop trick!! Wink

You can easily make your own equipment for teaching them tricks! Really, you don't have to spend 30 dollars on it d:

haha, yes, very true! I have already made hoops for my betta. The only thing is the feeding wand that comes with the kit would be VERY helpful. I've tried making my own feeding wand, which worked for about 20 minutes. the straw ones I make come apart so quickly!  Roll Eyes

The best thing imo, would be getting your fish used to your hands instead so you could give them food from your fingers Smiley

Mine can do the beg trick, you know, where they hover in front of the glass staring at you till you feed them.   Grin

I have pictures, I posted them in the picture section already.  Its cute!  My camcorder is older and I am out of the tapes that you have to use for it, I really need to upgrade that darn thing, just upgraded the camera though so I will have to wait a little while.

I said he was posing for pictures but honestly he was more begging for food. hehe  He always does that when I come over to the tank and he sees my face.  Smiley

Found it for you since it was a little while back that I posted it.  These two are most famous for doing the beg trick. haha  Cheesy

Edited: you know after looking at the pics now, I think this is the same fish.  I do have another one that does this named Tiger but I must not have a pic of him doing it yet.
