Going away for long weekend so the fish would not be fed for 3 days. Can't get anyone to feed it. Would of thought it could go 3 days without food with no problems?

Goldfish can actually go without feeding for about two weeks! There is always algae growing and if you have live plants they will also nibble on those. thanks would of thought it would do more harm moving the fish to my mothers to be fed and also been told the weekend/auto feeders are no good only leaving it 3 days with no food cheers butts

I agree with Hanna and Katherine- please feed your fishie!!! They actually use those big weekend feeder cubes in pet stores and they work just fine. I just can't bear to think of your poor little fishie being hungry and looking pathetically around the tank waiting for daddy/mommy to give them a snack!
