when I got them they were about 2cm and a bit, or just under an inch, It is only one of them that is a giant, the other is 4 inches overall. But a lot of that is in the tails. The larger one's upper- tail fin is 2 1/2 inches long! I suspect it is down to genetics....It will be interesting to see the rate of growth over the next year, and whether the smaller one can catch up. Aquariums are rather expensive here compared to the USA. I am thinking of getting an Aludekor for them . Just over £700 Aquarium:150 x 50 x 50 cm (LxDxH);375 Litres (340L Useful Volume);2 x 54 Watt T5 Lighting Unit Cabinet:150 x 50 x 73 cm (LxDxH) Fluval 405 External canister filter :1300 litres per hour

Scrivens I have had the exact same problem! Have you asked in shops? There's one here that I go to, just down the road from me when I was considering getting a Rio 300, on the internet it was around £600/£700, but the guy in the shop said they were selling it for around £400/500 and they have different deals on every month. So maybe there's somewhere nearby that does something similar? I have a list of a few shops in and around Wales I could give you the name's, websites and phone numbers if that would help? So you could at least ring around for special offers? Maybe some of them would deliver to you? Also a random question, with measurements....... The Aqua One Eurostyle 150 tank I'm thinking of getting is sold as this; "Model 150 Aquarium size is 150cm x 45cm x 64cm high, the volume is 350 litres." Yet when I use a volume calculator, it informs me that the tank is actually 432 litres
