Beautiful! Smiley I like the colors of the first one the most! Smiley
I tried taking some photos of Bruce, but I didn't get many good ones... and he was furious at the camera! His gill covers went all the way out! Shocked

I know mine were terrible with the whole picture taking situation! Smiley
I was surprised since usually they are so laid back. Smiley
Buddy, the first one is like mostly a burgundy, rich wine color, altho his color has faded some as he has gotten older. Wink
Thanks, girls for the very nice comments! Cheesy

Minde, they all are such beautiful coloured fishies. I just can imagine their different personalities.
Do they jump onto your finger when you feed them?
What else do you feed than betta pellets or betta crisps?

I feed bloodworms sometimes too, also live blackworms. Did you try those?
Barbarossa only eats them plus the Hikari Betta granules and the Betta crisps.
He won't touch the Betta flakes for lovely money, but he already stole a few catfish pellets.
Sindbad's main menue is the flakes and the worms, Octavius, Napoleone and Maurice eat the crisps and granules too. Sindi, Octavius and Napoleone are "Jumpers" lol... it freaked me out when it happened the first time... LOL

But try live blackworms, they should love it. Grin

Yeah, he doesn't sell blackworms either. Wink
Even if he did sell frozen I wouldn't buy them from him...cost $25 just to ship live frozen food. Roll Eyes
So not worth it!!

I dunno about peas...I've heard controversy about feeding peas.
One- bettas are carnavoires and should be fed meat based foods.
I have never fed peas...only betta pellets and bloodworms and my bettas seem to live pretty long lives and are very healthy. Smiley
Two- it is very hard to get bettas to try new foods.
Have you tried peas on your bettas?

They are so pretty Minde!

My Mom and I had a betta when I was a child and it looked so much like the first photo there.  He was a very hardy little guy that we had for many years.  The kids keep trying to get me to buy one every time we go to a pet store but I haven't given in yet, one thing at a time.   Wink

Minde, no I didn't try peas yet as I thought they may float around being ignored by them.
I only heard it and was intersted in your opinion Wink
