He is gorgeous He looks like a leopard with his spots. I am interested in keeping a pleco with my goldfish as I have extremely bad algae in my tank! Within less than a week the tank walls are completely covered! The only thing I am worried about is the sucking of the slime coat.... although have read that this mainly happens with larger pleco species when they don't have enough food. What temperature do you keep the tank at Nossie? And have you ever kept a bristlenose pleco?

Thanks everyone! Abbie: My tank is usually around 75-77 degrees I decided to install the heater now because for some reason, the apartment gets goddamn cold in the night and heats up like crazy in the morning! D: Might need to talk about that to someone... I've had very many bristlenoses And lots of my friends did too All of us with success Bristlenoses don't grow too big either, about 5 inches, so you could keep 3-4 of them Make sure you have more females than males though! Just to be safe Novaguin: I would place my vote on some smaller pleco species that you could keep a few of in the tank, like common Ancistrus (bristlenoses) or maybe some smaller plecostomus species Peckoltias tend to stay pretty small too, and they are very peaceful and cute! Their fins are very soft and beautiful, especially the Pretty Peckoltia looks like it's wearing a dress or something I'll try to find some more specific L-codes later for you to google Oranda Lover: Yep, I'll be buying some zucchini for him and the goldies to feast on! And I'll try to find some nice frozen shrimp since they sink, and may be more appropriate for him to eat This particular species will grow absolutely huge, and I don't know if that's just me, but since I learned how big he'll be... he already looks larger! x'D

OrandaLover: Lol! xD Who knows?! xD I might just be feeding him on love today I'll buy them all some fruit and toss some zucchini in there Abbie: Some of the fish listed may be pretty hard to get, since some cat fish simply won't breed in captivity, so the fry is caught in the wild And then again, because of that, some fish are simply not allowed to be caught anymore. There's one pleco that I'd love to keep some day! It doesn't grow much bigger than 30cm, and it's called Green Royal Pleco They're gorgeous Andrea: For now he's about 7cm ( Could've sworn he was 5 when I bought him! xD) And no, I don't know the gender On planetpleco.com, they said that these fish don't breed in aquaria, so people rather don't bother trying to gender them in the first place I believe it'll be easier when he'll be older though! You should see them when they're big, they're so beautiful
