need help

  i  made the  mistake   of  cleaning  my  fish  tank  out  i  put  the  rocks   in  a  bucket  i  mopped  in. i  cleaned  the  bucket  out  good  i  thought but  my  fish  keeps  dying.  i  have  cleaned the rocks in  hot  water. but  they  keep  dying .

Did you you tap water to clean the rocks it could be poisonous to the fish Undecided

Plastic tend to hold cleaning chemicals.  Best to get a bucket and label it FISH ONLY, in permanent marker.
As for the fish they may have already been poisoned.  Try doing 25% water changes daily and adding a good water condtioner that will maybe help get the chemicals out of their water.

I agree with the previous posts! You should make sure that all equipment used for the tank is ONLY for the fish! Sponges, brushes and of course, buckets. If you aren't keeping these things separately, make sure to mark them with marker on the outside so that nobody will walk off with your equipment without warning Wink

And yes, start changing small parts of the water every day from now on and keep an eye on the remaining fish Smiley

Completely agree, Nossie and Minde are right.
FISH ONLY, please don,t use those buckets / containers for anything else. Don't use chemicals. Water only.

Did you add water conditioner and benficial bacteria to your tap water before filling the tank with it?

The best thing to do is to keep a bucket of water that you took out of the tank and use that water to clean ornaments  as well as the filter sponges whenever that will be necessary Smiley
