Cold Scape

Hi, my name is Danijel and I’m from Croatia. I’m 3 years in aquarist hobby (mostly warm water planted tanks) and 6 months ago I tried with this cold water set up. Inside this 18G tank are 2 young fantails, 2 nerita snails and 1 ancistrus (for algae control). Choice of plants are anubias nana, cryptocoriyne var balance and brown crypt, because those are one of rare plants that goldies don’t eat. Stone is from local river, and branch is from willow tree. Filter is Ferplast Bluewave 03 which does perfect filtration and I also change 25% of water once per week. That’s it for now, enjoy.

Willow branch is cleaned, baked in owen, and dried to the bone in the sun and also bark is piled off. It's secured with rock to prevent it to float out. I've got twice as much filter material as usual, and also this "gravel" is Akadama mixed with minced vulkanic stone and vulcanic ash which provides nutrients for plants and great habitat for beneficial bacterias.
