I have a 40 gal long tank with very sick fish. I have lost 2 of the three ryunini's I have and the last one os not going to last too long. I am thinking of cleaning and stripping down the tank and starting all over again. My question is can I re use my gravel and plants??? I also have meds in the tank to treat whatever it was that is killing my fish, should I let the meds run their course? Even if the fish are all dead!!! I am not sure what is wrong with them, right now I have coppersafe and maracyn II in the tank to treat for ick as well as a secondary bacterial illness. I have had these fish for less than 2 weeks. Before this I had tropical platties for years with no problems. I wanted something new, and traded the platties in for the goldfish...I should have just stayed with the tropicals!!! Anyway what should I do next with my tank? Thanks Karen

I would tear it completely down!!! Throw out all gravel and plants etc. Disinfect it with bleach!!!!
Start over!!! I would visit the place where you got the fish from...maybe they will refund you some $$.
