Yeah, I think we have talked about that before. Over there tank building is still considered an artistic trade, over here it has become all about making them fast and cheap. Good news is that it is starting to turn around. Due to the poor economy people aren't buying new tanks as much. They are choosing to buy used. To counter this the tank manufacturers are being forced to offer new styles and better quality... but at a lower price. These tanks are poping up on both sides of the pond of course as they are being made by larger companies like Fluval, Marineland, etc. Down side is that most of them are small. They are finding that they sell quicker as they are cheaper. An example would be the Fluval Edge. I have a 6 gallon and a 12 gallon Edge. They are very nice tanks, but they are small. This is the 6 gallon:

| I just ordered a 3.4 gallon Penn Plax Radius for one of my betta's. It has curved corners on the two front edges and only ran $50 for the tank with filter and led light. Couple of years ago you couldn't touch anything (even that small) with curved glass for anywhere under several hundred dollars.

I'm hoping to pick up some anubais and java fern soon As well as topping up on Cabomba. Let's see how long a forest of the stuff lasts. As I'm thinking of buying a few bunches. The one in the tank is completely bald on the top and Lucky has started working on the bottom now XD Dragonii, you must have so many beautiful tanks in your home! I can't seem to locate any python water changers? Not that I need one at the moment, buckets will be fine for now. But if I get that giant tank I really want......... Also how do fish get on with curved sides? I have seen the fluval edge's around, they are -in my mind- still expensive for what they are. Here it's around £99 for a 23 litre fluval edge tank I picked up my little plastic 21 litre tank for around £12. So when it comes to examples like that, I am afraid the cheaper not as elegant version will always win in my mind But back to curved sides, I saw this rather intriguing looking 6 foot tank the other day though; ( Link is not visible to guests. Would the curved sides not confuse them? That's one reason bowls aren't recommended? Maybe I have the wrong idea? XD At the moment I'm trying to figure out what's cheaper buying a big tank like that in a 15/20% discount sale, or sourcing the tank/stand/light/additional filters separately..... ho hum.....
