nutrafin cycle

hi

has and one used this product or one like it. it say it will cycle a tank in a day lol.

does it really work. and how does it cycle the tank that quick. I got 1 free with a filter but did not use it to cycle the tank because it sounds like bull.

I personally have never heard of that product.  Is it for setting up and cycling a new tank?
You could try it on a new tank without fish.  Let us know how it works! Grin
And I'm guessing that if there was a free sample with your filter then it is a newer product. Wink

i dont have a any more room to set up a 3rd tank in my apartment Sad or i would try it.

well, then save it for when you ever would have to tear down one of your tanks and maybe have to start it up again. Then you could try it!:)  Hopefully that never happens tho right? Wink

i tryed pics but it would not let me my marine tank will take 6 more month before it looks good they take a long time to mature

I guess this product would help the cycling process, but I highly doubt that it would fully cycle a tank in ONE DAY xD That's probably just bull, like you said, and only for commercial purposes d:

What helped our second tank cycle faster was to use a layer of gravel from the first tank and about 10 gallons of our established water.  It cut the cycling time from two weeks to a week.

if u put as much of the water from your old tank as u can ( if u dont keep any fish in your old tank) and put the old filter on it u dont have to cycle the tank at all

it is just like a water change

This is fantastic, creamkiller, from today on I save as much water as I can from the old tank to speed the process, so our two fishies can move into their bigger home quicker Wink

creamkiller: That's just what I'll do with my new tank Cheesy But I won't ever use my crappy little canister filter in it... xD It's far too small. And far too old... it doesn't want to start sometimes after my waterchanges o_o </rant>

Things are going okay.  I just saw the doctor on Friday, and the baby still hasn't come yet.  If it doesn't come by Tuesday, we may have to talk about inducing (I hope that doesn't happen!).  We'll keep everyone posted on what happens! Smiley

hope everyone is ok. i use this product and i find its really usefull! what would normally take 2-3 weeks i find it reduces it to about a week. obv you still need to check your levels (ph, amonia etc) but i must say i've never had a problem with my tank, and my beautiful orandas are now 5 inches Smiley and still growing!
