I dont, but if I have to I supply a heater that is rated for the amount of water in my outdoor pond (which is an old large concrete trough) its set to about 20-22 degrees C, keeps them all happy... cheers

I leave all my goldfish out over winter. The goldies down here are acclimatised to the cooler weather (its the subtropics 2hrs north of where we live and never snows up there but down here it doesn't usually get warmer than 21degrees Celsius max. it just gets more humid).  the pond they are in is big enough to avoid getting completely frozen over. The paradise fish seems to have acclimatised to the freezing temps of the smaller shallower pond.
