Today my dad and my sister went crazy and bought a 36 gallon bowfront aquarium and stand.
For sure we're gonna put orandas in it and maybe another fish.
Lets just hope my sister doesn't have multi-tank syndrome because no stopping her!!

Just be sure not to overstock! In case there is somehow a lack of space in any other tanks you have so far, you don't want to create more of that

Yeah Nossie I hope we don't overstock.
My sister is hoping to have 2 orandas and maybe a black moor. We aren't positive but thats what she's thinking.

It's a wonderful tank. If I had something like that and well two of I would be able to keep all my fry! Lol! Wouldn't it be best to just stick to two orandas? Just to make sure there is no overstocking or anything. Just thinking incase the get too big for the tank.

I would agree with Vic, if it's 36 gallons = 20 gall for the first fish, then 10 gall for the additional fish, not to mention you'd lose some volume due to displacement, two should be ample

Scrivens and Vicloz I'll just put to 1 oranda at first and go from there. But I'll keep the absolute max of goldfish to 2 goldfish.
Thanks for reminding me of the size of the fish scrivens. I guess I could move the oranda( or two) into my 55 gallon along with Jose. Then put Molly and Galaxy in the 36 gallon.
Skwishee you just posted at the same time I did!! I forgot that stocking rule thanks for remiding me.
Thanks for the help. Karma for all!

Fantailer, don't forget your 55 gallon is fully stocked, as you have the comet in there
Single tailed varieties get even bigger than the fancies, so I wouldn't move the comet into the smaller tank.

^^ plus that's quite a tall tank, and the single-tailers prefer length to height
