Some of you have been asking for pictures of my bettas so here they are.
They didn't want to co-operate at all!
Buddy is the oldest at almost 3 yrs.

Beautiful! I like the colors of the first one the most!
I tried taking some photos of Bruce, but I didn't get many good ones... and he was furious at the camera! His gill covers went all the way out!

Minde, they all are such beautiful coloured fishies. I just can imagine their different personalities.
Do they jump onto your finger when you feed them?
What else do you feed than betta pellets or betta crisps?

I feed bloodworms sometimes too, also live blackworms. Did you try those?
Barbarossa only eats them plus the Hikari Betta granules and the Betta crisps.
He won't touch the Betta flakes for lovely money, but he already stole a few catfish pellets.
Sindbad's main menue is the flakes and the worms, Octavius, Napoleone and Maurice eat the crisps and granules too. Sindi, Octavius and Napoleone are "Jumpers" lol... it freaked me out when it happened the first time... LOL

But try live blackworms, they should love it.

yeah, I see....    but bloodworms are a deli too .
I heard that peas should be good for bettas too ?

They are so pretty Minde! 

My Mom and I had a betta when I was a child and it looked so much like the first photo there.  He was a very hardy little guy that we had for many years.  The kids keep trying to get me to buy one every time we go to a pet store but I haven't given in yet, one thing at a time.

In all honesty this species has never really been for me because I prefer the traditional goldfish in freshwater but thse are fine  looking
