I use tetra tropical flakes to feed my guppy and molly babies, which are very similar to your platies. I don't feed them anything else but tetra flakes until they are at least 1/2 inche long, then i feed different foods like the adults. Don't use other fish flakes cause they can either be too tough or chewy for the baby fish to handle.

Put a pinch of flakes into a paper tower and crush them into tiny pieces so the tiny fish can eat them.
You can buy expensive baby fish food but i find my method works just fine.
Hikari First Bites will probably work well too. [image]
Be careful not to overfeed or you will end up polluting the water and killing all the babies.

Congratulations on your new babies. I too had little platy's and what a surprise. I have never had baby fish ever so I asked the same question, what do you feed them. I was told fish flakes, crumbled, which I did in the palm of my hand and they all did fine. Started out with around 26 and have 14 of them, so I thought that was pretty good for never having raised babies before. It was very interesting and lots of fun to watch. Enjoy and keep us posted on how they are doing and best of luck!
