sud i feed it now or in the morning Huh
got it at 8pm

Don't feed it until tomorrow, it will most likely not eat when it's newly introduced to a new place. Best thing to do is to turn off the lights and leave them off until you will feed it. That way, he'll feel safer.

He's a gorgeous fish, he almost could be our Barbarossas twin Grin, same colour, LOL

... we called our Barbarossa, because when he spreads his fins you can see the red in between.
You can look up some pics in "photos and videos " if you like

well... they need light just make sure it is not too warm.
BTW if you look around in petshops all fish do have special aquarium lights.

But it makes me sad again that he lives in a drinking glass sized cube. I realize that they are kept in similar conditions in the pet shop and that they sell those small betta bowls. I also realize that you start to built your knowledge about fish keeping.

I remember, soon is your birthday ( let me know when I can congratulate you  Wink ) hope you could make a wishlist to get sth bigger for your Spaz and then you can move your betta into the bowl which is bigger than this little glass, ... OK...

It's perfectly fine under a lamp Smiley And I think the bowl is alright, if you think about the size.
Just be sure to change the water for him at least once a week! I'd change about half the water in the bowl every time Smiley And use a water conditioner Smiley

i am i got water cond. used it last night
I saw forrest gump and was thinking of naming him bubba
is that a good name for a betta
or is it a bad name

He's very pretty.
I feed my bettas usually in the am 4-5 pellets. Smiley
I usually feed only once per day.  Once in a while they get a bloodworm treat in the evenings.
