I have two fantail goldfish at home, but I'm hoping to expand my aquarium to house three more goldfish.  I was hoping to get a pearlscale, a ryukin, and veiltail (I love those egg shaped fish).  My big problem - I can't find anywhere that sells goldfish other than common or fantails!  All the stores in my town that I've checked sell all kinds of tropical fish, but only those two types of goldfish, and the occasional black moor.  I also tried searching online to see if I could find a source online that sells goldfish, but none that would sell fish that are less than 6", and even then only Ryukin, the occasional pearlscale, and not a single veiltail.

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on where or how I should look, in case I'm missing something?  I'm pretty frustrated right now, not being able to find the fish that I want!

your problem is that you are looking for fancy, rare fish. breeding a fish is hard, and there arent that many breeders around. liveaquaria.com has nice goldfish on their freshwater page. this site has orandas, ryukins and a pearlscale.
