I was a bit too late so I can't see the video, but it's a pretty obvious reason as to why they can. Although, one of my acquaintances was keeping piranhas and I saw them being fed with a piece of frozen fish meat. Which, if you ask me, would be far better and nicer than feeding a living fish to them  Some fish are predatory, but there's plenty of food available for them that doesn't have to live! Different types of freeze-dried worms, shrimp and even fish plus a whole bunch of frozen foods, so I really don't understand the logics in making one animal suffer when it doesn't need to. When I'll get my second tank with Oscars, I'll be feeding them only frozen fish
