Old fish dies after introducing new ones
« on: December 31, 2016, 01:16:01 PM »

It has happened almost every time. Whenever I add new fishes to my tank the older one dies. I have been having 1 shark and 1 gold fish for few months now. I decided to give some more life to the tank and hence added couple of weedos and black mollies.

The gold fish who was healthy and happy for last few months suddenly started showing symptoms of fin rot. His fins stated shredding. He only survived for couple of days.

The shark and all the new fishes apart from one of the black mollies are absolutely fine.

This has happened almost all the times when I have added new fish to the tank . I'm really sad about loss of life and feeling guilty and responsible of his death.

An advise on why this is happening and how can I avoid this will be highly appreciated.
