I realized something pretty obvious today and almost embarrassed to mention it:  if you are feeding flakes to your goldfish, soak them in tank water for about 10-15 seconds, then dump in the tank and they sink!  woohoo!   Grin

Just thought I'd mention it, in case anyone else hasn't discovered this little trick yet.  It's SO much more natural and better than letting the flakes float on the top while your fish struggle chasing them around.

I noticed that my goldies definitely have problems catching floating flakes! (Experimented with Bruce's food once) So letting them sink is probably a really good idea for smaller goldfish Smiley Mine have such big mouths that the flakes are.. they seem sort of ridiculous to feed them xD

For now my fish's mouths are barely 1/4" and they really like the flakes.  Actually they really like anything I put in there.   Smiley

When they get bigger tho and start rolling their eyes at me when I put the flakes in, I'll switch to more adult food.  Grin
