He is a big boy  Grin And Hepsiba ia a big girl too, a young lady.
Yes unfortunately the pic is not very very sharp but if you look closely on the gill cover there are those little white "pimples".
Sunshine and Matilda are younger and smaller but already double the size compared to when we bought them Grin

I'm getting jealous c: I want my kids to grow like that too! *shiney*
But they're quite a lot smaller than comets when they finally do grow full size, so I guess it's okay Smiley

I can't wait till Clementine is nice and big, if she gets a bit more pushy with the food I have a feeling she will grow bigger than Sunshine.

Thought to post another pic where you may be able to see Humps breeding stars on his gill cover; tiny white "pimples". Skippy got them too, but very hard to catch on a pic as they all start swimming right and left as soon as I point the camera towards them Grin

Hep really is a gorgeous fish, pretty much symmeterical as you said and those lovely eyes Smiley

Not raining here, thank god because I had a photoshoot today and it was beautiful for it. But they are saying it is going to rain at the end of the week Sad Though I think Queensland gets alot more rain than nsw, especially if you are living on the coast. It is mainly pretty dry out here.

Thank you Mindemae,
Hump is a young man now, so is Skippy LOL  Grin and Hep a young lady. Matilda and Sunshine are still little girls too young to have eggs in this season I think.
They are doing fine and allllllways hungry, lol.

Still waiting for the new tank to replace this one, it may be in next weekend. Maybe after moving them they will spawn ? ( Hump, Hep and Skip )

Thank you  Grin
We bought our first two fish Humphrey (the orange boy) and Hepsiba ( orange and white girl ) in March this year. They were only tiny, about4-5 cm the most.
Basically they grew tis size in less than 6 months being more or less adults.
Skippy is the white boy with few orange/red dots. Then we've got matilda the shubunkin coloured girl and Sunshine the bronze girl.

So we started with 2 goldies, now we have 5 tanks with different species, lol  Grin

Hi Nossie, when we bought Skippy he was the same size like Hump and Hep, he grows at the same rate as they do.
Sunshine and Matilda were about 5cm each, now they are about 8 cm, so they must grow at the same speed too, lol.

I think it is a good sign that they are happy, healthy, and hopefully good looked after  Wink

BTW, if the real estate lady allows, we'll foster a guide-dog over Xmas for 6 weeks, you know those cute labradors.  Grin

Alright, you probably are doing something right in that case Wink I wonder how big they'll be in a few years Grin

Do you have to train that dog during the time you keep him too? That sounds pretty interesting in that case Smiley

My biggest common is about 9 inches long.  That would be Biggie and she is 11 1/2 years old and is still growing. Smiley
I've noticed lately that she grew a bit since this spring.  My next biggest is also a girl.  She is only 4 years old and about 7 inches.
It seems my boys are smaller to me.  Of course they were just the petshop feeder fish and only 10 for a dollar!  Smiley
My sister has a female comet and she is huge!!! Over a foot long and around 10 years old.  She was kept in just a 14 gallon tank until I crabbed at my sister to either give her to me or get a bigger tank.  Wink  Well she finally got her a 30 gallon tank just recently.
HAHA my sister says when she goes to feed Vladimir she splashes her and swim so fast!  She can tell she is much happier in the bigger tank. Cheesy

Think by then we'll need a muuuuuch bigger tank for them, lol.

I dunno if we need to continue training with them, we'll get the instructions. I think it is mainly over the holidays as the guide dog centre will be closed and they are looking for people to foster them.
It may be only like some holidays for the dog too, without training
