Pearlscale goldfish

How big can pearlscale goldfish grow up to be?  Just wondering for future references  Smiley

Pearlscales like any other goldfish can grow to possibly 12 inches.  It doesn't swim well so therefore would not be a good friend to your fair fish who has a streamlined body and only has room for itself in it's little bowl. Smiley

Most of them grow to be like huge oranges ;> But it varies pretty much from fish to fish, like with most varieties, so be prepared for 8-12 inches Cheesy

mine only got to 6 inchs it depends if your tank is big enough or if it is to small. an overcrowded tank or to small of a tank will keep you fish smaller. and there will be a better chance of him getting swim bladder problems u dont want that

Hi,
A Lemon tetra will grow to about 2 inches max. So if you go by the 1 inch per gallon rule then you could keep 1 lemon tetra in a 2 gallon tank.  However, lemon tetras are freshwater, tropical fish.  They would need a heater and filter in their home.  It likes to live in water of a temperature of 73-81 degrees F (23-27C).  They like soft, acidic water, ph around 6.0.   Smiley

Lemon tetras are schooling fish btw, so DON'T keep only one of them in a 2 gallon. This would stress the poor thing to the max Sad
So if you want to keep tetras, buy yourself a bunch of 7 or more and they'll feel more secure in the tank Smiley Make sure that they have lots of plants to hide in when necessary!
