So! Tiger and Sonorus both have gone through a few changes, Tiger more than Sonorus. I snapped a billion pics of them today, so here are some of the better ones

mhmm! Thank you! It's a lot of fun watching them at play, though I believe my hopes for a male fish are very very very thin.

I saw a male oranda at the petstore.. oh my goodness he was beautiful. A very very big orange oranda. I hope that Tiger gets to be that big. Though I think If he wants to get that big Ill need to get him a bigger aquarium. :S

Thank you Andrea! I was really fond of the black Sad but he is a handsome fishy all orange too Tongue

April: I just use.. standard aquarium sand I guess. I mean, I just went with a beach theme, so I went to find some beachy looking gravel. Be warned though, you have to REALLY wash it REALLY hard. I sat in the tub for an hour making sure my gravel was clean, and it still effed up my water.

Your fish are so adorable!
I like the sand too Smiley
Do your goldfish ever nudge through the sand trying to find food?

Ok, the sand I used was already prewashed and damp and came with the beneficial bacteria and everything.
You didn't have to prewash it as it already came wet in the bag.  You can get it at Petsmart but make sure you get the one for freshwater tanks and not the one for marine tanks.  It's called Caribsea freshwater Substrate, Instant Aquarium. Smiley

oh dear... lol

April: It was cloudy for a long long time. Several hours at least. I felt so bad for my fishes... they had to stay out of the tank for so long...

Hanna: Thank you so much Tongue Tiger is definitely growing up to be a lovely fish, and Sonorus is continuing to grow Cheesy

Abbie: Yes they do. They also like to nose at the roots of the plants I have in there, and Tigerdigs up the plants as Sonorus tries to re-cover them. XD always a joy to watch them explore.

Fantailer: That thought scares me too XD but having a big-ish fish would be amazing. They're so pretty, and their wens are so well developed. Makes me wonder if Tiger will ever get as big.

Minde: I didn't see any prewashed stuff in the petstore :S I will have to give it a more thorough look through. Then again, I dont genereally stop in at petsmart, as all the times I went, their fish were ill and / or dead. Tongue However, I will look for that product Cheesy

Nossie: Yes he did lose all his black, which makes me really sad. I named him Tiger because he was ORANGE AND BLACK. and then he went and changed and stuff Sad as for the size, I'd say Sonorus is four inches, and Tiger is 4 and a half including tail on both.

plargh. there Cheesy
