I think that their growth shows that 200L/1 metre tank is pretty much the minimum for 2 fancies

their growth will slow; the early years are the important ones, as illustrated in the chart

Yeah I think your tank is a great demonstration of how to keep fancy goldfish  Grin

Do you think a person could get away with 3 in a 200L? I'd love to keep fancies later on!
Also if you do a daily gravel clean, that must mean you do a partial water change every day?  Smiley Or do you have one of those gravel cleaners that grabs the dirt in a little bag and puts the water back in the tank?

the gravel vac only takes a few litres..most of which gets replaced with the food ,which i usually soften in treated water

I did have 3 fancies in the tank but one died; which sort of tells me that keeping 3 in a 200L is possible but if you let the water parameters slip your fish suffer.

Oh I remember, so you never found the cause of it's death? That's odd...

When I do food, I have a little tub, so I scoop some of the tank water out and soak it that way, saves preparing any new water  Cheesy
