Hey guys and gals!
Wanted to stop by and ask some advice (as always!).
I got home from work today and found Lucky bottom sitting, I absolutely freaked for a split second I thought she was dead she was so still, until I tapped the glass and she moved *pheeeew* I jumped on the test kit like a bat out of **** and checked everything. All is well in the water world, the ammonia I forgot to check right away, it was pretty clear/yellow to begin with from memory so I assume it's fine (my water conditioner messes it up), Nitrites 0ppm, Nitrates 5ppm, PH first time around I messed the test up and got 8.0 (I freaked at that too) so I re tested super carefully and was 7.4 - more like the norm!
The last water change was Monday which would have been around 30 - 50% as normal. Ohh exciting thing, I have a new gravel cleaner and it sucks water and dirt up like a hoover it's so much better than my old one! Super clean gravel yay!
Physically, apart from one or two missing scales, nothings wrong. Behaviourally well bottom sitting, she even went and hid behind the driftwood when I was trying to check her over XD I'm like Lucky! Get back here! and she's just casually sat behind the driftwood on the gravel >.>
I've given her some brocolli now which she's happily eating and I did notice recently with all this cold weather (the house isn't massively warm) the tank temp. is down to 14 degrees celsius... sooooooo if she's getting a little in active, could it just be that it's winter?
She was absolutely fine this morning and I didn't notice anything odd about her this afternoon. Maybe she's just tired this evening?
It is coming up to filter cleaning time, so maybe it's that?
Wanted some second opinions, thanks in advance guys
