After your move you are still getting the same water supply? Could there be old corroded lead pipes in your new place?
is there a lab that can test for   pathogens in your water  ? I'm at a loss as you say they are symptonless

I highly doubt this since the water is of much better quality here than it was in the previous place we lived (it practically reeked of chlorine...). I don't honestly know how to go about getting to know this either :/

I lost Raven last night as well, so now I'm down to just Honey Tested the water, it's perfect as usual, and the plants started blooming and looking much healthier too, so I've got a good feeling about it though... it might be solving itself

Either this is ideopathic....that is stress-related/genetic , or you have a harmful bacterium or parasite in your tank.

To be on the safe side, you might consider disinfecting the tank, gravel and all equipment, and replace all filter media.....that is start again with a new, clean set up...I know that would be a complete pain in the %**, but it is the only way that you can be sure

It is a possibility that your plants are flowering due to stress...many plants go to seed/ effloresce under stress; animals also breed when under stress

scrivens: I am actually leaning towards it being the stress from moving, it was really, really rough. I mean they had to be dumped into really cold water and I could only save 40 liters of old water :/ Honey is doing great and hasn't shown any symptoms whatsoever since we moved. I changed more water today and it seems to be going well
And how about the bristlenoses? Shouldn't they also be somehow affected? Both are acting the way they always did and, as I said, they've laid another batch of eggs This is really tricky. Wish I got noob problems like a nitrite spike or something... I'll be keeping an eye on things, and if Honey stays healthy and happy and the water stays perfect, I think I might try my luck with a few more goldfish (and by a few I mean at most 3 for now..)

fantailer: Yes, it more or less is. Slightly underfiltered, but that won't harm anything if it's understocked as well I'll be careful for now and be ttly religious with the water changes xD (Though I sleep during days now mostly..)

I forgot to mention one more thing about the plants, the first month or so they looked really bad. All covered in algae and they wouldn't grow the way they used to, that's what's looking up right now There's also some more green algae growing on the rocks etc. Green algae is a good sign, or so it says.

The fish-guy just got a batch of lovely little goldfish last week, there were some silvery moors, some calicos, a ryukin and some spotty goldies I don't actually have any special plans on which kinds to get, I'll just choose those that will speak to me the most. I'd love to have some more moors this time around though.

Next time I'll be testing I could try and see if that's anything to worry about, but I highly doubt it since goldfish don't really care about the hardness of the water, it would have to be pretty extreme in order to get them that sick, I think... but yeah, thanks for the heads up

On another note, I'm getting so happy, everything seems to be working like it should with the tank by now, Honey eats well and is really active, the plants are looking beautiful and growing taller like before. Hoping I could add some little babies safely soon.

I assumed that most things about the water was different in both places And especially when the temperature was so different as well I imagine it was quite a shock... :c
