Tank update and questions

Hello all!!

So, I think as I last posted I had 10 tiger barbs and 5 golden gourami.  There was some kind of illness in my tank a while ago - funny behaviour, some ulcers on a couple of the barbs but I managed to nurse them all through it and lost no fish.  However since then, one by one, all of the gourami have passed on, but none of the barbs!!  They've all looked quite happy for a while so I thought it was about time to add in some more, so as of Tuesday gone I now also have 3 silver sharks.  Been fancying them for a while.  Anyone else have any of these?  Anything to watch out for?  I've read they can grow pretty big!

Promise, a photo soon!

Have you tested the water? It's always important to figure out what killed the previous fish before you stuff any new ones in the tank!
It might be crowded, the filter might be too small, the tank might not have cycled yet... there are so many things that could be wrong in a system, so you should definitely sort that out first.
