I bought a young orange pearlscale two weeks ago, and I have discovered some bubbly blisters on one of his 'hindquarters'.  I have never seen him eat or poo, but I know he does cos I find fish poo in the gravel when I clean it.  I have only fed him daphnia and some sinking pellets, and there is a little plant in the tank as well. The daphnia has turned his pearly bits nice and shiny, as well as darkening his tail, and there are tiny streaks of black in his scales and dorsal fin too.   



What are these blisters, and should I be worried about them?

My little pearlscale has developed more little blisters, did some internet searching, sounds like it could be dropsy too.  I hope not!

Will take him into the specialist aquarium today, hopefully they will be able to identify his ailment.  Ping Pong doesn't look too worried though, he's still swimming about ok.
