HOW TO GET RID THE WATER SMELL FROM THE INDOOR POND & WATER FEATURE

hi everyone , Can any GURU's from tis forum hlp  ..... i got a medium size pond in my apartment..which i place at my balcony area... last weekend i bought some 'SHUBANKIN' fishes c/w with all the fiters & oxygen & put inside the pond, the next day i could smelll "stale fish'  from the pond water was quite strong..Issit common to have the smell or will it go off after sometimes..

Thanks , salty-J... noted,...btw im surprised tat the smell is not as strong tdy, unlike 1st few days...may be i thinks the filter had absorb it.. anyway tis weekend im goin down to the fish farms and search for the thingy "Stability" by Seachem tat u recomends

Thks, Mindemae..noted .... But there's no Walmart in my area, perhaps i'll look around in the locals fish shop....  .....

Plant some bog plants in there - they'll use up all the bacteria and whatnot that creates the smell.

fantailer welcome to the forum You can make a indoor pond out of any large water proof container. Just add water, filter, pump and fountain if you wish. stock it with lots of plants let it cycle like you would an aquarium, adding water treatments. Then you can add a couple of fish if you like!
