hi everyone , Can any GURU's from tis forum hlp ..... i got a medium size pond in my apartment..which i place at my balcony area... last weekend i bought some 'SHUBANKIN' fishes c/w with all the fiters & oxygen & put inside the pond, the next day i could smelll "stale fish'  from the pond water was quite strong..Issit common to have the smell or will it go off after sometimes..

anyway tis weekend im goin down to the fish farms and search for the thingy "Stability" by Seachem tat u recomends

You can also use something called STRESSZYME by API.
You can buy that at any pet/aquatic store or even Walmart.
It is the same bacteria boost as any other and it's all I ever use and does not have to be refrigerated like some of the other bacteria products out there.

Plant some bog plants in there - they'll use up all the bacteria and whatnot that creates the smell.

You can make a indoor pond out of any  large water proof container.
Just add water, filter, pump and fountain if you wish.
stock it with lots of plants  let it cycle like you would an aquarium, adding water treatments.
Then you can add a couple of fish if you like!

When people come over I tell them the water in my fishtank is often cleaner than the crap that comes outta the tap most of the time! Besides, I've come to make 'crap' my friend as I always seem to be either cleaning it up or it is stuck on a shoulder or pant leg or dried up on a wall in the birds room. Sometimes I just flick it back at the birds...they don't see the humor At least fish lay cable, just saying LMAO!!! I totally swim with Mr. Tailer if he had a big enough pond ♥

same here Hanna! I use a turkey baster to suction those floaters out too and no worries about forgetting that is was used for fish turds. It's marked in huge black marker 'crotte de poisson!'  

I tried to have a pond on my balcony years ago when I lived in a highrise but the neighbourhood pidgies kept coming for a bath and drink every day. So I never did put any fish in it and enjoyed them instead!
