New member and new fish with injury
« on: December 04, 2009, 08:26:57 PM »

Hi!
I am new, but not too new to goldfish, BUT I just got a new panda telescope and she arrived with a bloody swollen eye!  If anyone here has seen something like this before and has some advice...please give it to me!

Looks like a recent injury. Perhaps it was injured while being netted for shipment or during transport.  Do you know if the fish can see out of that eye at all?

I was wondering that myself......it isn't moving much (the eye), but she seems to know where she is heading and isn't bumping into anything....she is swimming fine and acting pretty normal otherwise.....she is staying in quarantine for a couple weeks anyway, but wonder if there is something more I should do.
