Panacur for Camallanus Worms

This is a post of a bookmark type. I happened to get across this article while searching for 'quarantine plants' and I think this link is worth mentioning here just in case someone might need a solution to Camallanus Worms infestations.

Right, looks like quarantining for a couple of weeks the fish in the tank is not enough.

Two weeks is certainly not enough for quarantine.  I did two weeks for a new fish before, and ended up with velvet disease. After researching it, I found that velvet has a 3 week incubation period, so I would recommend at least 4 weeks. I personally am quarantining my new fish for 2 months, since I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I was planning to keep it in Qt for a month. And then if it does not show any traces of a disease, t keep it there for two more weeks.

That sounds good. I also use a magnifying glass and inspect closely, as recommended to me earlier in this forum.
