New to fish hobby - Lots of questions, Need help!!

I live in Hilliard Ohio, and I have never had fish and am just getting into it. I have a 46 Gallon Bowfront and stand, a submersible Marineland heater 200 watt, Hagen T5, Eheim 2217 canister filter (for 150g tank), and an auto feeder.
I would really like to do goldfish specifically – Panda Moore, Celestial, and Pearlscale Fancy Goldfish - only 3. I have not set the tank up yet because I am struggling with what substrate to put in the tank.
I would like to go with sand as I have heard sand is the healthiest for goldfish since they burrow. Also with gravel the fish could get it stuck in their throat or digestive tract. What do all of you think is the best option?
If I go with sand what type of sand (pool filter sand, tahitian moon sand, este marine sand, etc.) would be the best and what stores usually would sell these types of fish tank sand?
If I go with gravel what type of gravel would be the best for goldfish not to harm themselves, for it to allow them to burrow, and not get stuck in their mouths and where could i buy it?
Also is there anything else I should get for the tank with goldfish?
