Meet Josse Antonio and Charlotta

Hi. Yesterday I introduced another goldfish to red cup oranda who has already overlived two not so lucky friends. First he harassed and bullied out the small funny ball-like goldfish, so that I had to return it to petshop saving her life and change it to another oranda who died in three days. So now he has a friend number 3. I hope now it will work. Here are some pics. This is Josse enjoying his reflection. [image]
And here Josse's new friend Charlotta who is a little bit bigger then her boyfriend (well, it is me who distributed genders :-) [image]

Cheers.

Thank you Katarine and Mindemae! I do hope Josse and Charlotta will make good friends. It is so amusing to watch them, they have completely different characters (behavior). Josse is very curious and dare to eat right from my hand (from fingers, actually) while Charlotta is suspicious and shy.
By the way - how do you feed bloodworms? Is it necessary to unfroze them first? I did and all that little worms were immediately spread all over the tank.
Cheers

And what time do I have until my little funny fish turns into big, fat and lazy pisce? How fast do orandas grow? I don't want to change the tank soon.

Sure I do. And my son loves to watch them too. It makes him laugh when fishes swallow and then spit out their own poo... Well...

lol Josse is like juvenile - curious and fast. I gave them two peas this morning and before Charlotta ever moved Josse ate 3/4 of food. He would have eaten the rest, but his mouth was full. And now we bought two snails. And every time I come to the tank I found them in different places. I would say they pretty fast. Never would thought.

Good Morning guys, After feeding Humpsi and Hepsi, having brekkie I am on here now and enjoying the post. Igor, Jossie and Charlotta are adorable. They look so healthy and happy. I don't know how quick Orandas grow, but I noticed that our 2 Comets grow pretty fast. When we bought them in March they were only 5cm, max 6 cm small, now they are much double the size. This is why we bought a 150l tank, Maybe you seen it in "Tank and Equipment" >> "Our new Tank". We still fixing it up. We should be ready to go in about 2-3 weeks. According to the bloodworms, I put the frozen cube in there, as it thaws in a few seconds.

Thank guys. We are now back from Florida where we were two weeks and frankly speaking I was worried about my fishes left alone... But luckily and thanks to your advices, guys, they were totally OK when we came back.

Absolutely fantastic time. Thanks. The Gulf water is yet clear (in Sarasota and Keys), Miami Beach is not overcrowded and Atlantic Ocean is turquoise and warm...
