disease free snail free aquarium plants

I just bought a packaged plant that says "Disease Free Snail Free". I got it at Petsmart, and there is no name brand on the package. Has anyone tried these? I wonder if I can trust their claim to be "Disease Free Snail Free".

Could be that the plant was never introduced to fish
You know the plants are cultivated in a sort of damp environment rather in a tank, so it's not that hard to just avoid putting it with any fish/potential disease carriers
But it might be, if you're concerned, a good idea to keep the plant in an empty tank for a week or two.
(I doubt this one's going to last long though, the leaves look very, very tasty and edible
)

HAAAA!! I thought you were going to say my plant looked like it was dying! You make me laugh! I bought it for them to eat. I was trying to pick one that they'd like, so I picked the most tasty looking one! I wonder how long it will last.
Thanks!
I tried to find information online, and all I found was the patent details.

Fantailer, you're hilarious!
Ron, I have checked the internet, and all I found was the patent. It's hard to search on too because there is no name on the package. Nothing came up in the forums, but maybe if I try searching individual ones. I used Yahoo!, wonder if Google would bring up different sites. Thanks

its always worth a look anyway, and different search engines do yeild differing results, but it is usually rated by date (latest first)so sometimes the info is buried a few pages deeper...
and fantailer always cracks me up too... cheers

I really like these plants!! They are so clean and healthy! Just this one package yielded 5 separate pieces that can be planted in the substrate. I hope they thrive!
They went into my main tank today, but I bet I could have put them in the first day, I was just being cautious... I'm starting the stopwatch...

Ha!
I really wanted some more plants in my tank lately... all kinds f plants!
But I'm a bit concerned that I'll just have to add some silk plants or something... seriously, SOMEONE is eating the Java Fern and Anubias even! I don't know if it's the Pleco or the goldfish... xD

They sure did like these plants! They have steadily been decreasing and now only 1 small branch left. This is their only food source during the week. I felt bad one day because one of my fish had a really long poo, but it only happened that 1 time.
I also had to throw out a lot of branches that they must have pulled off, that were stuck to my filters.
I have bought some new plants with bigger leaves and will put them in today, I think Java Fern and Anubias. One was in the "disease free snail free" package, and one in a "snail free" package. I wonder if they will eat them too, like some of your fish do...

All my friends' goldfish haven't eaten Java Ferns, so I assume it's the pleco that's guilty of that... xD
But you'll see, it happens sometimes that they enjoy nibbling them, biting some pieces off in the process and then not actually eating them but leaving them to float... >>

I gave the wrong plant names - I have 2 Green Horemanii Sword and 1 Anubias. My fish took to them right away, not eating but swimming thru them. Not afraid of them but very natural and I can tell they like them. I like having pretty live plants; I have gotten rid of most of my other decorations and will be buying more plants for them to hide in. My goldfish seem to prefer it that way.
