black moor eye problem

My moor has what looks like a crusty brownish ring around one of his eyes.  Any ideas what this might be?

dont know with out seeing him or her do a 15 % water change treat with primifix and melifix that should help

When treating with medication, you should do a larger water change so that you can be sure to leave the treatment alone during the whole period it's used. But before you change water or do anything else you need to test the parameters.

Have you tested your pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?
How big is the tank? And is there a way for you to post a photo of this?

This might just be your fish changing color are you sure it's a black moor?

I agree with Nossie here regarding size of water change. Do a 40 to 50% BEFORE adding anything. No ammonia can be present when using anything stronger than basic salt, melafix/pimafix as the result could mean your fish getting burned terribly from the chemical reaction.
